Rubes art is going crazy!!

It is selling as fast as Rubes can produce it (in fact he is often back-ordered) and the value continues to increase.

At this year's National Singles (2006) - Rubes took Gold in both the 45s and 50s - without losing a single game.

Rubes made the quarters at this years 2006 Pro Nationals.

He also made the quarters at the 2005 US Open.

Gonzalez and Team USA take back Gold at the World Championships in Puerto Rico.

Team USA took back the Team Gold at the World Championships in Puerto Rico in August. With wins in Women's Singles and Doubles to set the pace, the Men's Team fought several hard matches to clinch the Team Gold and a Men's Silver. Ruben and Mike had several strong victories to make the finals and fell just short of Gold in a hard-fought tie-breaker.

Gonzalez and Guidry take Gold at the Tournament of the Americas in Bolivia.

Ruben and Mike take the Gold in a hard fought tie-breaker with the Mexican Team - Ruben scoring the winning point on a characteristic fly-kill to the corner. Their victory assured Team USA a first place finish in the Men's Division as well as a share of the Team Gold, splitting the honors with Canada.

Legends Tour ! ! ! !

The Legend's Tour started this January in Coral Springs, Florida.

Attending this Inaugural Event were Gregg Peck, Dave Peck, Marty Hogan, and of course Ruben. Gregg is the kid on this tour, coming in at 38. Dave & Marty both clock in at 45 and Ruben is the senior player at 49. This first event was a round-robin, each player going against each of the others. The event ended on Sunday with Marty playing Ruben for first place. Each of them had a 2-0 record going into Sunday's final match. The first game went to Ruben, but Marty turned it up in game 2 to squeak out a win and force a tiebreaker. Ruben took the tie-breaker and the first Legend's Tour victory with a 3-0 match score.

Word is that 2 more events are scheduled for this season and 8 or 9 are scheduled for next tour year. We don't have a web site or actual schedule for you yet but will keep you posted as we find out more info. We're looking forward to seeing more of the "old timers" from past tour years.

National Doubles 2001!

Ruben and Mike win the Open at National Doubles! After winning in 1999 and taking 2nd in 2000 - Ruben and long time partner Mike Guidry take the Open Division at National Doubles. They defeated Llacera and Pointelin in the finals in a tiebreaker. The tiebreaker belonged to Gonzalez and Guidry as they started on a 7-0 run and never looked back taking the third game, and the match, 11-2.

US Open 2001!

Rubes reaches the US Open Quarterfinals!! This guy is incredible - the top pro in 1988 (13 years ago)- Open winner of USRA Nation Singles in 1996 (5 years ago) - and now in 2001 at age 50 - he's playing in the quarters of the biggest Pro event of the year.

Quadrangle Pro Satellite Stop 2001!

Ruben meets Ellis in the Finals in Clearwater Florida. Ruben cruises through the draw - winning the semis 0,8,0 to reach the finals againgt John Ellis. Ruben takes John to 5 games barely missing a victory as Ellis squeaks out a 12-10 win in the 5th game. The crown goes nuts, they just loved this match!!!!
